Our First Official HYROX Race<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Every journey needs a destination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
For us, that destination is HYROX Karlsruhe<\/strong>, taking place on 1 October 2026<\/strong> in Germany.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Interestingly, Karlsruhe was never supposed to be our second or third HYROX race. It became our first.<\/p>\n\n\n\n When HYROX Helsinki was organized in May 2026, the Mixed Doubles race day happened to fall on Mother’s Day in Finland. The decision was easy. Family comes first, and some priorities are simply more important than race calendars.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Instead of waiting for a more convenient opportunity, we decided to do something different.<\/p>\n\n\n\n We chose to jump straight into the deep end.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our first official HYROX race will take place abroad, in a country where neither of us has raced before. That means we get to combine two things we enjoy: challenging ourselves through fitness and exploring new places together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n In many ways, that feels perfectly aligned with what DrivenBySISU is all about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The race may still be ahead of us, but the journey is already well underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2705 Race entry secured<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2705 Flights booked<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2705 Train tickets booked<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2705 Hotel reserved<\/p>\n\n\n\n \u2705 Training plan in motion<\/p>\n\n\n\n The only thing left is the most important part:<\/p>\n\n\n\n earning the fitness required to perform on race day.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Of course, we have performance goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Our target for HYROX Karlsruhe is to complete the Mixed Doubles race in under 70 minutes.<\/mark><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n We want to become stronger, fitter, more efficient athletes, and we are working toward ambitious targets in Mixed Doubles competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But Road to Karlsruhe is about much more than a finish time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is about proving to ourselves that demanding careers, family responsibilities, travel, and everyday life do not have to prevent us from pursuing meaningful goals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n It is about showing that improvement is possible at any age.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And it is about sharing the entire process, not just the race-day result.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The good sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The difficult sessions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The setbacks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The lessons learned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And everything in between.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Every training session, simulation race, and race report brings us one step closer to the start line in Karlsruhe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n If you would like to follow our progress, visit the Training Block<\/strong> section, where we document our preparation, key workouts, race simulations, and lessons learned along the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The finish line is still ahead.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But every journey starts with a single step.<\/p>\n\n\n\n And ours is now well underway.<\/p>\n\n\n\n HYROX Karlsruhe<\/strong> Race entries secured.
